We employ an innovative strategic planning approach that focuses on intentionally building on your school district’s strengths. We also work to refine fragmented systems through collaboration and feedback loops. This is achieved by engaging representatives from all organizational levels, ensuring that priorities and action plans are integrated into everyday operations.

Labor-Management Partnerships

Our partnership collaborations take a district-wide approach. For continuous improvement to be effective, the district administration, union leaders, and the Board of Education must share a common vision for their system. This vision must hold student success at the center. We provide a roadmap for redefining traditional roles and ensuring authentic partnership and collaboration.

Leadership Engagement and Coaching

We work with your school district to develop a common vision for effective leadership and provide customized support to realize this vision. This often involves one-on-one and group coaching for leaders at the school and district level.

Instructional Coaching and Professional Learning

Ann’s 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher and her extensive knowledge of instructional design and pedagogy create opportunities for her to support educators, coaches, and instructional leaders of your organization. Ann can facilitate customized professional development sessions both virtually and in person.

Unpacking Data to Drive Decision Making

We provide training and support in developing a culture of risk taking and conducting honest conversations about data. First, we determine the most relevant data sources for achieving your goals. Next, we ensure ongoing collection, access, and engagement in data analysis. Finally, cycles of inquiry are established to effectively monitor impact and respond to the needs of the system.

Our Process

  • The first step is always a comprehensive needs assessment. By understanding the unique context and needs of each school or district, ACB can develop tailored strategies that truly address the root issues impacting student success.

  • In the Data Analysis phase, we employ both qualitative and quantitative methods to comprehensively understand your district's current strengths and opportunities. By analyzing data from multiple sources, we identify key trends and insights that inform our strategic approach to improvement.

  • This crucial step involves collaboratively crafting a tailored plan that addresses the district's unique challenges and leverages its strengths, ensuring that all proposed initiatives align with the district's overall vision and goals for student success.

  • We create robust two way information systems to ensure the implementation of the plan is responsive to the needs of the system. Discretion for school leaders and educators is built in to ensure relevance of the goals and action steps while ensuring collective effort toward shared goals.

  • We provide ongoing support and guidance in establishing and refining collaborative teams throughout the organization to ensure the smooth execution of initiatives. Our support in the implementation phase may also include professional development sessions, individual and group leadership coaching, and more.

  • We work to shape a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement within the school district. This involves supporting leaders and educators in identifying relevant data sources, establishing cycles of inquiry, and engaging in honest conversations about data. This allows districts to effectively monitor impact and respond to the system's evolving needs; and ultimately building trust and mutual accountability.
