Systems Coherence and Team Effectiveness

ACB Consulting supports establishing and refining collaborative teams throughout the organization, grounded in the Six Building Blocks for Effective Systems framework. The vertical and horizontal alignment of teams is created by ensuring shared decision-making and robust information systems are connected to the overall school and district mission and vision.

Strategic Planning and Implementation

ACB Consulting employs an innovative strategic planning approach that focuses on intentionally building on strengths and refining systems through collaboration and continuous improvement. This is achieved by engaging representatives from all organizational levels, ensuring that priorities and action plans are integrated into everyday operations, supported by ACB’s implementation structures and progress monitoring.

Labor-Management Partnerships

In a district-wide system approach for continuous improvement, the district administration, union leaders, and the Board of Education must share a common vision for their system. This vision must hold student success at the center. ACB’s Six Building Blocks for Effective Systems provide a roadmap for redefining traditional roles and ensuring authentic partnership and collaboration. These partnerships result in positive outcomes for all members of the district and school communities.

Leadership Engagement and Coaching

ACB works with districts to develop a common vision for effective leadership and provides customized support to realize this vision. ACB takes an individualized and developmental approach to support leaders at the school and district level through one-on-one and team support.  

Instructional Coaching and Professional Learning

Ann’s 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher and her extensive knowledge of instructional design and pedagogy create opportunities for differentiated support for educators, coaches, and instructional leaders. Ann facilitates professional development sessions, both virtually and in person, to engage educators at all levels of the system. Customized professional learning is designed to address the individual needs of each school and team.

Unpacking Data to Drive Decision Making

Ann supports district leadership, school teams, principals, and teachers in developing a culture of risk taking and honest conversations about data. This process includes listening and learning to determine the most relevant data sources for achieving goals. Training and support to ensure ongoing access and engagement in data analysis and establishing cycles of inquiry to effectively monitor impact and effectively respond to the needs of the system can be customized to build capacity, trust, and mutual accountability.
